Bourgas lakes
The Burgas Lakes are a group of coastal lakes of varying saltiness located around the Bulgarian city of Burgas in the proximity of the Black Sea. They constitute the largest group of lakes in the country and comprise some of Bulgaria's biggest and most important lakes.

Lake Mandra is the southernmost of the Burgas Lakes, located in the immediate proximity of the Black Sea and close to Burgas. Being 8 km long and 1.3 km wide at maximum. Parts of Lake Mandrensko are designated protected areas inhabited by a number of locally and globally endangered species of fish and birds.

Lake Atanasovsko or Lake Atanasovo is a salt coastal lake north of Burgas, Bulgaria, located in direct proximity of the Black Sea. The lake is about 5 km long and divided into two by a strip of sand in the middle. Due to the water of Lake Atanasovsko's high salt content that increases every year because of the link with the sea, salt has been produced in it since 1906, with 40,000 tons of sea salt being obtained a year.

Lake Burgas or Lake Vaya ,located near the Black Sea west of the city of Burgas, is the largest natural lake in Bulgaria, with an area of 27.60 km², a length of 9.6 km and a width of 2.5 to 5 km. It is up to 1.3 m deep.Lake Burgas is inhabited by a wide variety of species, including 23 of fish, 60 invertebrate and 254 bird species (of which 61 are endangered in Bulgaria and 9 in the world).
